As we continue our sermon series from our passion groups, we hear about biblical teaching on personal finance, which emphasizes what Jesus taught about money, possessions, and our attitudes towards them.

In this week’s sermon we continue our series as guest speakers share about what their passion groups are learning. Larry shares how the BEMA podcast helps you see the scriptures and their cultural context from a different perspective.

This was a very interactive sermon, so we’re adding a picture of what it looks like when someone stands on the “bema” in the middle of the room and the people gather “around the text” as community members share it (modeling Jewish synagogues in the first century).

We continue hearing from different passion group leaders about what they are learning about God this fall. The campus ministry has been discussing how to walk like Jesus; we take a look into the apostle Peter’s life and the grace he received from his Lord.

In this week’s sermon we hear from one of our Passion Group leaders about what it takes to have success/victory in your walk with God and every area of your life.

As we started a new sermon series highlighting the passion groups that are meeting this fall, we hear some highlights from the BEMA podcast passion group about the life of Peter. We can relate to him in many ways as he often fell short, but Jesus believed in him.
